Constructa saves time and money with StreamBIM

Constructa is reporting significant savings with the use of StreamBIM on constructing Åsana VGS

It has been a year and a half since Constructa Entreprenør AS started using StreamBIM. They are now well over halfway with the construction of Åsana VGS, and are reporting significant savings.

Quality manager Ingrid Oliva Småbrekke acknowledges that it may take a little extra time to understand how the 3D model works, but overall there is little doubt that she sees the value of the new way of working.

- What we save in time and money by not building incorrectly is so much greater, she notes and predicts a digital future for the construction industry.

- The best thing is that we have the 3D model. That we have the opportunity to see how things will actually turn out before we build it, and discover the errors much earlier. I think we're going to get a lot more use of BIM here.

Project manager Erik Sohlberg is satisfied that it has been possible to adapt StreamBIM as needed.

- We have had a long and good dialogue with both the contractor, the designer and Rendra as a supplier, where we have tried to optimize the way we do this.

He points out that they have upgraded the measurement function in StreamBIM during the project as a result from user inputs.
