As usual with new StreamBIM team members, here are 𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to introduce Josef Aden, our new intern at StreamBIM Sweden.
Josef is joining as a integral member if the StreamBIM Sweden team and will be helping with support and implementation.
Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, Josef has worked as a foreman for Nordic general contractor Skanska before starting his digitisation manager studies.
What is your educational background?
I completed a technical high school program and went on to earn a high school engineering degree at Skanska High School. I am currently studying at Campus Nynäshamn to become a Digitalization Manager in the Construction and Civil Engineering sector.
Briefly describe your work experience:
After my time at Skanska High School, I started working as an assistant supervisor at Skanska in Gothenburg. A year later, I became a foreman and have continued in that role for 4 years.
Throughout my career, my focus has primarily been on new apartment construction, mostly with responsibility for structural completion and the final stages of production.
How do you spend your free time?
I try to stick to a routine of going to the gym four times a week. I enjoy fishing in lakes, hanging out with friends, and spending time with my better half.
What made you choose Rendra and StreamBIM?
I was first exposed to StreamBIM while working on the Hovås Tak project.
There, I took on the role of on-site digital lead during production, so I worked with the platform daily.
During that time, I saw the benefits of StreamBIM, primarily how efficient and user-friendly the information flow was compared to BIM software from projects I’d been on before.
How do you see the road ahead for StreamBIM?
I believe StreamBIM has a bright future ahead, as the platform addresses a concrete need in the industry: making BIM information more accessible and usable for more stakeholders, especially on-site during production.
I also see strength in our focus on openBIM, as it reduces dependence on closed ecosystems. If they continue to develop the platform as a practical tool for coordination, traceability, and the overall Total BIM methodology throughout the entire construction process, I believe the future looks bright, and I look forward to being a part of it!
Josef is bringing some young enthusiasm and fresh perspectives into the Sweden team and we are delighted to have him here. If you are a StreamBIM user in Sweden, chances are that you will run into Josef in the support chat or out in the field, so say hello when you see him.
